Drake's new album/mixtape/fuckin whatever was pretty nice. wasn't amazing, but some of the songs on there are going to be on rotation for a while i can tell. 7/10 Knowles
i've been revisiting some Beck after Kanye reminded me that he still makes music, thanks Kanye <3 8/10 Perdadors
Jose Gonzalez is fucking amazing. Vestiges and Claws is going to end up in my top 5 of the year, probably. just his way of singing and how well his guitar playing compliments his voice. i also love the drums on here. 8/10 Ages
Junip has Jose Gonzales in it, so again, genius.
Shakey Graves is a genius and i love him, i listened to so much Shakey this past week. he's probably the best folk artist i've listened to in recent memory. this live album, West of Calgary, is fun and nice.
same as 4, but Roll the Bones is my favorite album by him so far. never quite got the hate for his new album but i enjoyed it so. this project is very lo-fi, but i love it. Proper Fence is my favorite song of his by far. 16/18 Fences
yet again Jose Gonzales. i REALLY liked Vestiges and Claws. this was pretty good, too, but i preferred Jose's singing on Vestiges over this. 7/10 Books Opened
Boogie is a recent find but seriously great. if you're looking for some west coast hip hop that ISN'T like YG or DJ Mustard, check out this dude. look up his song Bitter Raps. 7/10 Ripe Apples
Beck again, better than ever. Odelay is my favorite album by him, but Mellow Gold is great too. not much to say about this that hasn't been said before. 9/10 Instruments Played by Beck
Bon Iver valentines day woes. not much else to say. 80/83 Tears Collected
King Krule finally decided to get into him, he's great. Easy Easy's such a good track. i loved that remix of Neptune Estate with Lucki Eck$ and Wiki on it. 6/8 Handsome Gingers with Deep Voices
Shakey Graves most of these plays on this album are probably from Chinatown. that's a great track. i'm a sucker for mouth trumpets. 1/2 Miles Davises Playing the Mouth Trumpet
Shakey Graves yea, Shakey.
Deerhunter is great, took me a while to get into but i'm happy i found it now. Apache/Havoc Helicopters
Father John Misty is pretty good. i didn't fall in love with it like everyone else seems to, but i'm only 2-3 listens in, so i wouldn't be surprised if it grows on me. i still like it a lot, but it's not a dominant AOTY or something like that. 7/10 Honey Filled Bears
Bon Iver it's still valentines day? 3/4 Exes Texted
