Does it make sense for me to get a masters degree?

My concern would still be around you getting a job. I'm not sure what type of job would hire someone who got a 1 year master's in analytics with no relevant other experience. Jumping from Comms and the entertainment industry to analytics is a pretty stark difference. I think a more prudent step might be taking a cheap data boot camp and doing a data entry job. You could then get a master's during that job and use the experience to springboard into an analytics job.

I think if you gave a few more specifics we could tailor the advice better "entertainment industry" is a very broad statement, that could be working at a dinner show all the way to accounting department for a film studio. Also why are you going into data an analytics? Just for job security or has this interested you? Do you have any experience in this area?
