The situation sucks. But if you got out of there, that’s already a big win for you and your kids.

Staying would just get you down mentally and you probably would achieve a state where you wouldn’t be able to take care of kids or yourself.

About dating, you don’t need to jump into the scene right away. There’s no rush for relationship. Get your strength, sort all things out.

When you find someone, after a couple of seasons it’s enough time to understand if that person will fit your new parameters or not.

Having a relationship with someone who has ptsd or other challenging condition it’s always an adventure. And sometimes we just can’t deal with our and their monsters in the dark. preservation of your own mental health it’s more than enough reason why you might choose to not embrace the adventure. No one will judge you for that.
