Dylan O'Brien Is Spider-Man

Hey guys, how's everyone doing? We are just one day away from Avengers: AoU, possibly the most hyped release of this summer! But that isn't why I'm posting. Recently, my good friend (only going to say his last name; Roberts), got his dream job of working for Marvel Studios, LLC. I can tell you that since he's been there (2 weeks on Saturday), he's been hearing about A LOT of things for Phase 3. Especially Spider-Man. Here's what he's told me about whats been happening: He’s been told not to talk about any kind of material he is doing (he works in Special Effects and CGI). Marvel does have the new Spider suit finalized, and has already been crafted. Using his personal email and not his work email, he’s told me that the suit will be MacFarlane heavy (don’t have any pics, he says that the suit is currently “being used for purposes unknown”. He has told me that Asa Butterfield IS NOT Spider-Man. He has NOT signed a contract with Marvel, and has not been in talks with Fiege or anyone at the Studios for that matter. He went on to tell me that Marvel and Sony have been at odds with who should play Spidey. He referenced that Sony has been looking at the trends, as well as Marvel. Sony is saying that they want Asa, but Marvel wants Dylan. Like I said above, both Studios have not come to a definitive actor. As for the title, same goes for that. Both Studios have not come to terms as to what it will be called. His reasoning behind this is because, since the film is not being released until 2017, Marvel and Sony haven’t really been worried about the film. He told me that “Spider-Man: The Next Avenger” is just a filler title. It’s NOT official. In fact, there are only title ideas. Both Studios have two contenders for names: Marvel has “Spider-Man: The Next Avenger” and “Web of Spider-Man”. Sony has “The Astonishing Spider-Man” and “Marvel’s Spider-Man”.
