There were multiple red flags, correct. That's how the firing process works. You don't just fire someone based on pure suspicion.

They trusted him so much they were not even watching his GPS. They only used it to ascertain whether there was a problem when a potential one was brought to their attention.

They trusted him, he violated that trust, and they had GPS proof which protected them from a wrongful termination suit.
