OP, you've had some good advice already. But wanted to add that you can't plan your future career when you get there, it has to be done now. If you are happy in insurance, take advantage of CPD, find out what skills will be needed and get training. Network, in-house and on LinkedIn... and so on.

Your daughter needs your time and attention more than flashy gifts. There's an unholy mountain of second hand kids stuff out there that has hardly been used. You can easily save money by going 2nd hand. In my experience, all kids clothes look 2nd had after they've been worn for 5 minutes.

How much debt? Talk to your bank about consolidating with a decent repayment plan. Get rid of credit cards, anything with a high apr. Budget and stay within budget.
