Episode 2 of Survivor Reelfoot Season 2

Here's my power rankings. It's hard to rank things perfectly since things can change very quickly week to week, and I may have forgotten some important information, so if I mis-remember or forget anything important, my mistake!

Power Rankings (Yuchi): 1. Maria - She's a swing vote, and has two groups her want her allegience right now. She's done a great job hiding her knowledge of the game. She feels very unthreatening and I see her making the merge. She also has a great read on others, like seeing the Jeremy/Bailey/Trevor alliance form early on. If she makes it past the merge boot, I see her going deep.

  1. David - Swing vote with Maria, but still has the threat label attached to him by the "Yuchi trio." He seems to be picking up the game well and is very likeable. Possibly the best social game at the moment? I just have to wonder when the connection to Daniel will arise.

  2. Jeremy - Even though he's part of the tight group of three with Bailey/Trevor, I feel he'd be the last one picked off if it came to that, and if that did happen, he'd probably hit the merge and flip to whoever offers the best deal. To me he seems to have good knowledge of the game, and is athletic, likeable, and self-aware.

  3. Ryan - I feel that David/Maria are going to be siding with Ryan/Anna. The only reason I'm putting him above Anna is that he has the idol clue. The only issue I have with him is I feel he might be too complacent, since he was happy to be chosen at the start of the game to be 'kicked out.' I'm worried if say, someone offers him up as a decoy boot, he'll just go "sure, that's fine."

  4. Anna - If she doesn't quit, and makes the merge, I could see her going far. She has an independent spirit to me, so I could see her shopping around for the best alliance and not blindly sticking with one. I'd love to see her make some moves of her own, but if she's choosing to lay low for now, I respect that. The targets right now are the ones who aren't laying low.

  5. Bailey - I love him, but I got this feeling that if Trevor weren't target #1, it would be him. He's likeable to me and self-aware most of the time, I enjoy his "word vomit," but the problem is not everyone does and they might just want him gone.

  6. Trevor - He's target #1 right now, and that's the only reason he's at the bottom. I've loved what I've seen from him otherwise. If he can disappear into a tribe swap, or somehow get Maria/David on his side, that'd be amazing.

Power Rankings (Chiaha):

  1. Jessica - The girl's got game! And unlike a few others, her gameplay in episode 1 didn't make her a threatening at all. She successfully turned Michael against Coleman and that was that. The only problem I foresee is her alliance with Daniel and Michael might be crumbling soon, unless she can somehow keep them together, but I don't think it'd be hard for her to find some other allies if that happened.

  2. Daniel - I really like him and what he's done so far. He feels like an anchor for the tribe, and Michael is going to have a challenge uprooting that anchor if he decides to follow through on what he said. But, his connection with David is still in play, and who knows when that will be. revealed. If Michael can get a hold of that information, that anchor is going to be 100x lighter.

  3. Chantelle - She may not know anything about the game, but her reputation is good and her athletic ability hasn't been questioned. I don't see her going anytime soon if this pattern of taking out the threats continues.

  4. Nathan - I don't see any reason why he'd be voted out before the merge right now. He's non-threatening, he seems dependable, and hasn't been nailed yet for being schemey or being a terrible at challenges. I was a little worried about him after Staci's comments about him in episode 1, but he seems to have dialed down the cabbage stories!

  5. Staci - She has two problems on her hands, and one of them literally in her hands... kind of. She has a fake idol that, while she's skeptical of it, it could ruin her game. And on top of that, MIchael has seen her looking for a real idol that she doesn't have. It's better to take out 'idol threats' sooner than later, and if Michael/Daniel keep it together, I could see her going next. However, if she flashes the fake idol around, and pulls a couple of people to her side, there would not be enough votes to do a split vote, thereby making her invulnerable unless the other side wants to take a risk with piling them onto her.

  6. Tristan - It seems he was able to put his passion aside better this episode, which is good for him, but his name was going around last episode. I feel he hasn't quite gelled with his tribe yet, and I would not be surprised if he continues to be an alternate boot. If he can prove himself as a loyal vote, that'd be great for him, but Nathan/Chantelle could easily fill that role, and they don't have the threat of being a 'superfan' following them. He also still hasn't found that idol which he has a clue for, which he should ASAP.

  7. Michael - He has a ton of potential in him, but based on the preview alone, he's suffering from the same issue Stephen did in Cambodia - he already wants to take out the 'golden boy.' We all know how that worked out. Not only that, the golden boy is in his own alliance. Based on where I feel his reputation is at compared to Daniel, I feel this won't work out for him, and he's a threat in a game where everybody wants to take out threats. To his credit though, I truly believe he has the potential to manipulate others better than anyone else on his tribe, or even in the game.
