Evening Megathread (17/03/2020) - Treasury announces further COVID-19 support for businesses

Were still not closing things down, just asking vulnerable people to isolate.

So we have no intention of trying to stop this spreading, just keep those who will die out the way.

The problem is that plenty of vulnerable older people are just also carrying on as they always did.

Asking people will not work, we need to have powers to stop people, as other nations are doing.

We are all sitting watching the news and trusting these people, yet already things are different this week than last.

I think it's really hard for people to understand, we don't have a clue here. These people with official looking lecterns are pretty much guessing.

There is zero reason to think this is all cleared up in 16 weeks when we aren't trying to contain things.

I think the shops and lack of fresh food now is going to send people loopy.

This is not normal times, we are flipping from panic to scary calm.
