Have you ever given up a high-paying job you were satisfied with to follow a job you were passionate about for lower pay? What were your experiences?

I left an entry-level position at a Fortune 500 company's HQ where at 21, I was being paid upwards of 50k without a degree. My employer would have paid for me to finish my Bachelor's only if it was related to the field, which I wasn't passionate about. I was younger than most of our interns, and although I knew I'd somehow landed a "life on a stick" - that I could stay there, finish a degree, and work my way up to a higher-level position. That scared the shit out of me, because I didn't want to end up in a life that was comfortable but unfulfilling. I decided to leave to teach yoga. Flash forward three years, and I ended up at an Ivy League school doing what I love for more than a 50% pay-cut. I don't know what career I'll have after graduation, but I'm glad I took the road less traveled after meeting that fork in the road.
