Have you ever owned a device that updates as frequently as Gear VR?

To trick you that this product is still being actively supported? Who cares if you are running 0.8.2.3 or the newest 1.2.3.5 IF there are no differences to the end user.

People leave auto-updates on for nearly all apps system wise. Are you happy that facebook is updating twice a day? WhatsApp once a week that adds/changes nothing for you?

Why do they exist? So people like you can brag that it is supported device...

PayDay 2 VR came out like 2 days ago or something. It's been in works for very long time, yet they did not have time to add smooth locomotion setup as optional. Give it 48 hours and we have community making CHANGES TO THE END USER. GearVR although updating, is not really updating anything.

Agree or not, GearVR updates have zero influence to the end user. Unless you ran into a glitch or something that affects 0,01% of users, then you may be waiting for that update.
