My roommate and I requested to come back for spring semester a day earlier than the rest of the student body so we could get there on a Saturday (to party off campus) instead of a Sunday. We brought up an ounce of weed and 10 xanax bars from home. We arrived around 1pm and decided to celebrate being back by rolling a joint. The campus seemed like it was empty With the exception of a few other kids scattered around who had the same idea as us. Well 5 minutes into prepping the joint we hear a loud knock on the door "****** University Police please open up we need to check your smoke alarm." Well we freaked out and hid everything but the officer was getting impatient and suspicious so we opened the door and let him in; he immediately smelled the odor of weed and ordered us to get out of the room so he could have someone search it. They found everything, I took the hit for the xanax and we said we split the ounce of weed. It was my 3rd violation and I had already been on probation so it wasn't hard for me to get the boot. My roommate got put on deferred suspension and still attends school there today.

tl;dr came to campus a day early when they were checking smoke alarms in the dorms. Ended up searching my room and finding an ounce of weed and 10 xan bars
