The experiences of 585 people when they tried to withdraw from antipsychotic drugs

I don’t much about anything but I know access plays a huge role here. Mental healthcare isn’t like going to 7-11.

My first experience they gave me the hardest to titrate anti depressant. The doctor was terrible. I got 15 minutes with them every 1 hour appointment. I did that twice then wanted a new doctor. I had to wait six weeks, the drugs ran out at four weeks.

The next time, the doctor asked to pray for me. She meant with her hand on my head during the appointment, not at church later. Time find a new doctor! This time it took longer to do.

No one told me about withdrawals. Ever.

The last time. I made the doctor pre-prescribed the taper. Not everyone can do that.
