Faced with soaring Ds and Fs, schools are ditching the old way of grading

I hope you know I appreciate the work you do so much.

I'm not a professional teacher, but teaching is the profession I wish I could have pursued if it wasn't so fucked up. I was lucky and was able to break through the God-awful system I was in and am now thriving doing high level work in the Architecture and Engineering field. I'm doing my best now to act as a guide to help other students succeed in my district and pushing for better resources to be available for you all. Through all the non-professional teaching I've done, community inaction was what made it awful sometimes and there do exist people trying to make it better :)

The admin for schools is fucking maddening though! I got to serve on my schools bond planning committee as a student rep and it was such a shit show. At the moment I am trying to get my local after school program to let me teach basic arch/eng design classes to middle schoolers and the bureaucracy is insane. I'm literally offering to teach this class for free and the 3D design tool is free as well. I want to rip my hair out seeing the value I could literally hand to them for nothing and they won't fucking take it lol
