Fearing it may attack kids, man shoots his own dog in park

I had a dude tell me a similar thing about his dog, always nice, never had a problem but I gained a bit of respect for the guy when he said "but there has never been a time in its life that I've not personally introduced her to another human being that I didn't have her on a leash and personally hold her myself while she met the person." He pointed out that no matter how much an angel your dog is you never know the random time they'll not like someone's smell, posture, or something else dogs can sense that we can't and he will never be careless and let his dog bite someone just because he thought she's an angel. Wasn't even an aggressive breed either, just a dude that was completely respectful of other people.
