This is gonna bring out some mean in me, and I am sorry in advanced lol.
One: it's VERY clear that The World is Ours was a much better trio than Golden Girls. The choreography was harder, the timing was better, the spacing was better, and the performance quality was better. There's no doubt in my mind that, at any other competition, that The World is Ours would have scored higher. They deserved that win.
So first thing I wanna bitch about its: Melissa shouting, 'she has everything!' about Brynn. Melissa lacks ANY sort of self-awareness, and it's pretty fucking obnoxious. She's a massive hypocrite, AND I think THIS is a clear indication that Melissa saw Maddie's success and nothing else. I don't wanna debate whether or not she favored one kid over the other cuz I've heard that Kenzie herself does not like that. But I DO think that the most important thing to Melissa at this time was Maddie's success. Because Mackenzie was literally in the other trio, and Melissa was still upset that Maddie's trio didn't win. I don't care if Melissa didn't want Brynn on the team, she should be just as supportive of Kenzie's trio winning as she would have been had Golden Girls won. And in the very next episode when Kenzie tries to speak for herself and say she was sad that the moms kept saying the competition was rigged, what does Melissa do? She says 'that's not what we're talking about right now, that's over.' For Melissa to not even leave room for Kenzie to talk about her own feelings just shows what a shit parent Melissa can be and I hope moments like this haunt her.
And then there's Jill...NOW, I literally do not doubt that Ashlee probably DID say things about the kids that were edited out - LOTS of people from the show have talked about how they would cut out the thigs the other moms would say about the ALDC kids but leave in the reactions from the ALDC moms. Okay, fine. BUT, that literally does not give Jill a pass. It just puts her right on the same level as someone she's claiming bullies children. We probably didn't see all the crap Ashlee talked, and when we DO, I'll gladly rip into her. But until then, I hope moments like this haunt Jill too. I hope she has a REALLY hard time moving past how badly she made Brynn cry on a pretty regular basis. The fact is is that Jill WAS mean ABOUT BRYNN, in FRONT OF BRYNN. Constantly. So when she tells Kendall that it 'isn't trye' that all the moms are mean to Brynn, she either has as much self-awareness as Melissa, OR she's lying thru her teeth.
Jess was the queen shit stirer here, because she's the one looking for any reason to call this a fake win. As if the competitions hadn't been fake any time the scores shook out the way she wanted them to. As awful as Jill was to Brynn, I think Jess takes the cake. How many times did she say, in front of Brynn, that Brynn had no personality. Who says that about a kid in front of them??? I guess Jess does. Jess doesn't deserve the platform she has, and even though I DOUBT moments like this haunt her because I'm genuinely convinced she is void of an actual conscious, I hope eventually she atones for this.
Honestly season 6 Dance Moms brings out the worst in everyone, including me HAHAH
