Fellow Men, what made you take the plunge to seek therapy?

I tried once a few years ago, went to a doctor because I wanted to die all the time. Didn't go how I liked, couldnt progress further with it.

Started seeing a private therapist in December. I reached a point where I could no longer make progress alone, and was still damaging my personal relationships in often irrepairable ways. It was also becoming extremely apparent to me that most of what I thought were problems I was having with others were symptoms of something else that I have to fix.

Also, figure out what you want from therapy. Some see therapy as something you do for the rest of your life. Personally, I have something very specific I need to achieve, and view therapy as sort of lessons on how to be me healthily.
