Me too. Several times over the years. When City of Tampa installed red light cameras, they reset the light timers to the bare minimum required by law (according to a signals project manager I know who has been in the controller boxes as a normal part his job.) It’s barely enough time to react when the light changes. If you are within a certain distance of the light and traveling the speed limit, it’s impossible to stop before going into the intersection as the light turns red. From that point on, you are at the mercy of whomever the police department has reviewing the footage (and the corporate vendor who has the contract for those red light cameras and who gets a cut of the fines levied.)
