First Nations chief calls for police-worn body cameras as he awaits answers on his arrest caught on video

That's why I said from my perspective, I recognize arrests are inherently violent, especially within the context of police and First Nations members. That being said, I partly agree with everything you said. Which is why I don't think arrests should be made my sole officers without back up, you can't expect one individual to perfectly arrest the general population. With back up, and with help restraining an individual, there shouldn't be any reason to willingly harm the suspect. Cuffs will sprain your wrists, you will inherently be hurt being thrown to the ground, but intentionally hurting the individual should make you liable for bodily harm you inflict and shouldn't be allowed of an officer.
