The first year is crap. Hang in there.

Came here to say the same thing. This is not my experience at all. I just had my third baby. My first two started sleeping through the night around 4-5 months in their own cribs. No colic or crying bouts. We knew there would be poop and pee and vomit and spit up and we have never been bothered. Neither my husband or I have been reduced to tears or felt there was no return. We have enjoyed the baby years so far. That isn’t to say it was perfect or not messy but it has been good.

We may have been blessed with good babies or maybe good attitudes or maybe we make a good team. But not all baby experiences are like OP’s.

Our 3 year old and 1.5 old are more complicated for sure! They can run, yell at us, say no, fight to put on pants, fight to be buckled, throw food, smack each other, smack us, infinitely harder to change a diaper on a wiggly twisty 2 year old (potty train early folks!) but it’s still good we are just more tired.
