Four countries have declared climate emergencies, yet give billions to fossil fuels - UK, Ireland, Canada and France - Ireland’s fiscal support for all fossil fuels reached an annual average of $828 million

Good, we use fossil fuels for almost everything we do. Declaring climate emergencies and going to Climate change summits and meetings is useless.

People can declare a crisis all they want crisis are always declared top scientists came out in 1989 and said entire countries would be wiped out by sea before 2000 that never happened let’s not reck the world economy to achieve a fictional goal. Anyway if it was such a crisis why would we reck the economy putting extra taxes and restrictions on fossil fuel company’s then we wouldn’t have money to combat that issue bill gates met with oil executives recently to discuss building plants that suck excess Co2 out of the air a hydroelectric company wouldn’t have the capital and engineers to achieve something like that. And to anyone who supports Nuclear power that is a terrible idea the damage that it caused to the ocean surrounding Japan and the city of pripyat will likely last for ever and will always be seen on some level such a small country like Ireland should never agree to that it would destroy 1/4 of the country and leave the rest uninhabitable if the reactor malfunctioned or something no matter how safe the expert says it was they thought Chernobyl was safe and Fukushima.
