Furnace help needed

Just had this happen to me. Replaced the thermocouple and it was totally fixed. In my furnace it was a frustrating process trying to angle tools into nooks and crannies, but not that bad, and totally worth cursing for half an hour to save money on an emergency HVAC guy during a cold snap. Watch a video on YouTube and take a few pictures before you start so you have a reference when you need to reconnect everything.

Also, thermocouples are very delicate. You can try cleaning it before replacing it, but whether cleaning or replacing BE GENTLE. First I tried to clean mine but rubbed a bit too hard and it snapped. Bought a new one and it snapped while trying to maneuver it in. Third time was a charm and I got it installed. Then I had an hvac guy come out to clean my whole furnace a few weeks later and he snapped the new one. Luckily had a replacement in his truck and fixed it at no charge. But god damn those things are delicate so be gentle when cleaning/replacing.
