Gary Johnson asks: What is Aleppo?

If he doesn't know what Aleppo is then I naturally should question his understanding of the conflict. As you have noted Aleppo is central to Syria, it is a microcosm of the various facets, nuances, and quagmires of the conflict as a whole.

I'm not sure what you trying to say in the last part of your comment. My point was that for many looking for an alternative this interview is going to be a bad thing. It will not inspire confidence in third parties as a while, some people will not take them seriously and in turn our two party system is further entrenched. This election is an amazing opportunity for third parties going forward, and incidents like this do not help that moment.

I can put it in a more academic way if you like. Forget how much you dislike Clinton or Trump and try to look at this interview from the viewpoint of a "soft" Democrat or Republican. Clearly it's not going to bring those voters in, and the Libertarian party desperately needs to bring these people into their tent to be relevant moving forward.

Or in other words, get off the dude's nuts.
