Gasoline prices top $5 a gallon nationally for the first time and are likely headed higher

Our house, a rental, is about 2600 sq feet 2 story. Probably the biggest problem is our house is 24/7 with 4 adult occupants. I work nights so sleeping during the day upstairs during the summer 95-102 degrees during the summer. My wife works from home and the adult children are essentially up until 3-4am. Trust me it really sucks. There are a lot more problems then just the electric bill….it’s a fairly fragmented house with no one really carrying except for the one paying the bill. I keep the thermostat at 79 but do have a window unit in my room because it still gets too hot. Trust me, I feel like I am ready to move from Southern California for a lot of reasons. Having two adult children who don’t contribute is another problem which I have no control of, trust me, I have tried but really have no say because of their mom. I really wish sometime that I had a one bedroom apartment lol.
