German Jewish Leaders: We No Longer Feel Safe Here

When you read articles like the one you just linked to, what does it make you want to do? Does an articulation of such a strategy make you want to "turn the other cheek?' It seems that this is your position.

When I read such an article, I want to embroil my foe in a proxy war with a force that is capable of meeting their cruelty head to head. I do not see western armed forces as being capable of the response that is called for. I want to see them crushed from this Earth to the last man.

I am well aware that the point of their provocations is to force all Muslims to unite beneath their flag. But there is a wild card here, and it is listed right in the article: the sectarian divide between Sunni and Shia Islam. Even when our simpletons conflate these two in their racist reactions, they come no closer to allying with one another. This is the divide we will exploit to crush them.

It is unfortunate that the thaw with Iran is coming so slowly. We have already failed to enlist their help for precious years and thus created the crisis we are now debating. For all intents and purposes, we have been supporting Daesh and continue to do so by our support of Saudi Arabia.

If you think that this article will inspire me to welcome war refugees, you are delusional. Do you fail to grasp that these desperate people can be coerced into attacks on us even against their will? There is no line of pressure that Daesh will fail to employ, and hostages are a simple tactic for fighters like them.

I do not give a rat's ass if the refugees deserve good treatment. The bare fact that we can have no certainty surrounding their loyalty means we cannot let them near. It is our own reactions that I fear as much as anything. What is the one circumstance that most ensures that we Westerners will commit provocations against Muslims? Simple. Confront our hordes of starving poor with hordes of their starving poor. Any leader worthy of the name will realize that a reaction is as certain as the sun rising if we create such a situation. To welcome refugees is to play into the strategy of our enemies.

Lock up the border drum tight. Leave them no hope for survival besides seeing Daesh exterminated from this Earth. Untangle the web of alliances that has us fighting our friends and supporting our enemies. Grant the Shia a free hand to put an end to this odious foe.

A bit oversimple, I know. This situation is quite complex, and some strategic elements are clearly not publicly known. Were this not so, our actions would seem less senseless. But to grant access to our own homelands to persons who even might be inclined or coerced to attack us is not going to ever get my endorsement.
