Girls are attracted (I guess to my looks at first), but it fades quickly

No joke, there is a girl who I've been crushing hard on, and she was showing interest at first, then I think I drove it away for a week, because I became kind of an idiot as my hormones were going nuts, I kept talking about horrible subjects (like being awkward) but, because it only happened for like 3 days before I pulled myself together and reminded myself of all the things I've been doing to improve myself, I stopped acting like an idiot and started making actual conversation. Asking her about herself and listening to her. I asked her what her favorite Christmas movies were, I wrote down what she said and then went and bought the one she said was her favorite, then I bought my favorite Christmas movie. If I am successful in the next couple weeks, I will have a great present and we can watch each others favorite movies together.

it's Christmas, a magical time. Ask them about their favorite Christmas movie, I just realized this, but it also makes them feel warm for their childhood when they first saw it, but more importantly it gets them talking about themselves and what they enjoy...while near you. You are now the guy who makes them feel childhood warmth and joy - holy shit, this may be why the girl I'm crushing on started to show so much overt interest, (the biggest signals being eye contact for 2-3 solid seconds where I smile and nod, then she began bouncing her feet and got so excited that at one point she said my name in a tone of adoration with a huge smile on her face. I truly am an idiot for not advancing yesterday, but it's fine, because I have today when I wake. I will get to class and sit right next to her and take it from there - at this point I'm 90% sure she likes me, and 80% sure it's not in a friendship type of way.
