Global population of eight billion and growing: we can’t go on like this

Not a linear relationship.

Doubling the world population doesn't result in miracle solutions. It just means double the number of people fighting over the same limited resources.

Think of it this way using bullshit numbers.

A domestic native population has 1% of it's people getting highly educated so if there's a million in the pop you've 1% or 1 in 1 thousand vrs 999 morons per doc.

Double the population and what's changed about those ratios?

Nuffin.

Only thing actually changes is local resource pressure.

Now what you gotta do to provide the population with the same living standard (or better) as the previous generation is extract the SAME level of resource per head of population for half of the given area.

You can't grow in a closed bubble.
