Black Americans, via their own veterans, get military training too (probably a low %) but also these neighborhoods aren’t exactly gun-free zones either. It’s probably easier defending an urban environment too.

At this point, any repeat of 6 Jan would likely bring DC into military occupation, if only to save national embarrassment.

In terms of infrastructure these are mostly corporate owned and the right wing is likely more dependent on it than the left. In the event of an oil pipe or truck route attack, most “red” neighborhoods aren’t walkable while “blue” ones typically are. Witness the LA train looting where guns were taken (i.e. “free” guns for the non college bound of Los Angeles).
