A gun just protected my Daughters safety and property

Eh, most crime is. They are generally after something and going about it in a manner likely to succeed

They really aren't. A job will get you what a robbery will, and with significantly less risk of injury or issues with the law. To choose crime over legal means is inherently irrational unless you can prove legal means we're impossible.

Truth is, most incidents are stopped with a single shot from any caliber at all

Truth is, most people will never be involved in an incident, but people still arm themselves for self defence. Truth is, most incidences are stopped without firing a shot. Yet no one is advocating going around with an unloaded gun, because you don't know if that will be the case for you.

And no caliber has a 100% single shot stop record.

Which is why you'll never see me say that. But thanks for telling me things I obviously already know. Guess what else I know? Very small calibers have a much worse stopping percentage than larger ones. So why would I not carry a caliber that's more likely to stop someone than less when both are options?

But if that's not an option, a gun beats no gun.

It's quite obviously an option in 99% of cases, and 100% of cases involving the pre-planning of carry.
