I had $130K private student loan debt dismissed.

Most lawyers hear student loan and then immediately dismiss you. There are a few that specialize in it though there are very few. I had about 130-140k balance past SOL just around last x-mas! After switching states, sending all collectors to voicemail using my phone's settings, and ignoring everything else and monitoring any lawsuits against me (in case they tried to "serve by newspaper" or some crap), to my amazement they never did shit. Or should I say - their collectors never did shit - not even for a six figure balance apparently. Some of the loans were made just to get marketing into the schools, and they KNEW it was a loss leader. Fuck Sallie Mae in particular.

Now I just do school as a second job, any # of grad programs. Only PLUS loans. Got no "real" debt left, these new loans basically have no financial impact on my life other than as free money for doing minimal work (I outsource my papers). Paid off all credit cards, got cash to buy a house shortly, living a good middle class life. Also it's technically legal to plan to pay the account as agreed, it just happens that it will cost nothing under various IDR programs. I can't help it if the math comes out in my favor this time!
