Do you think having standards and dealbreakers when it comes to dating is necessary or restrictive? If necessary, what are yours? If not, why?

..Of course. What a bizarre question.

Without deal breakers or standards, you'd just be setting yourself up to be mistreated and abused. Plus, what's the point in dating somebody you're not compatible with? Without standards or deal breakers, you'd basically just be dating any random person that wants to be with you, regardless of what they're like or how they treat you and others.

Some of mine: must be employed, must not live with their parents, must have a driver's license, must not be sexist/racist/etc, must be somebody kind, respectful, and honest. We need to have things in common, similar values, and want similar things in life. They need to be able to communicate openly and be emotionally intelligent.
