Head of troubled $2.2 billion Transbay transit center resigning in September

So people in San Jose, Fresno, Bakersfield, Palmdale and San Diego don't matter?

So you think people who dont have a 220 mph bullet train don't matter?

I dont think you understand: the project is financially untenable. It was untenable before COVID put california untold billions of dollars in debt. We've already spent most of the planned budget on consulting fees and no ground has been broken on the actual rail lines. Newsom has already rescaled the project to the central valley and let me ask you since you "Care" about them so much. What do you think Central valley needs more, a 70 billion dollar railway system between Merced and Bakersfield, or a couple billion in subsidies to incentivise businesses to move to the central valley? Both shorten commute distances, but one centralizes wealth outside of central valley and puts undo burden on taxpayers who have to subsidize America's most expensive and overbuilt transit system in the middle of nowhere, and the other just puts more jobs closer to home.
