Thanks for posting this. This is a topic that I am passionate about not only because it's extremely important, but because I have a TON of experience in my own life with it. I almost lost my best friend, basically my brother by trying too hard to get him interested. But he just wouldn't have it. I could tell he found me annoying, and I could slowly see the difference in the way he talked to me and about me to my other friends. We always considered each other the most intelligent of the group, we both built our own pc's at age 12, could have worked for geek squad at that time, we both were incredible at competitive games. We actually came really close to going pro in League and CS:GO. We were also in a top 10 guild in the world in WoW for years. Not that being good at games proves ur intelligence obviously. To see how fast he wrote me off, and dismissed our entire past just because I tried to share stuff with him that fucking fascinated me and clearly was important just killed me.
