You are at a moment of great change, but your insecurities are holding back from taking the next, necessary step. By not moving forward, by not allowing this change to happen, you are just prolonging the inevitable, and the longer you do, the worse the outcome will be. Think of it like this- imagine piling dirty dishes in the sink. You have two option- wash and put away the dishes or keep adding to the pile. If you keep putting off doing the work that must be done-eventually that pile of dishes will start attracting bugs, it will fester and smell, and if you’re very unlucky, that pile of unstable dishes will fall, and now you have broken pieces of porcelain and glass stuck in the sink along with the dirty dishes growing mold. So you are faced with a choice- deep down you know the right call, it’s just not the easy one to make. But don’t despair- this period of darkness will pass, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and the future contains happiness.

So I see this spread meaning one of two things. Option 1- there’s something major in your relationship that needs to change- maybe an argument/discussion you’ve been putting off, or you’ve been dragging you’re feet about committing fully to this relationship because you’re scared of getting hurt. The relationship is facing growing pains, but will come out the other side stronger. Or option 2) You need to end things. Maybe you haven’t because you’re afraid of being alone, or you keep telling yourself “things will get better.” It’s easy to fall pray to the sunk cost fallacy- believing that because you’ve spent a certain amount of time and energy on something you can’t walk away. But the longer you stay in a relationship that makes you unhappy, the longer you prolong happiness and the harder you make it to leave.
