First of all sorry for English mistakes, it's not my native language. I'll try to give you the point of view of what I think is a good part(maybe the silent part for the most) of the european fans.

The fact that EU got poor results in the last year of international events misleaded almost the entire community. At one point the most common opinion (also mine to be honest) was that TSM would just stomp fnatic, for all the reasons you said.

In retrospect I feel we all should have taken in more serious account the fact that, despite the results, EU teams managed to get some pretty big wins in international events in the last years (fnc vs ssb, all vs nws, sk vs tsm, even uol vs tsm). The fact that no team went over group stage fooled us.

And that's my shot on the reason why FNC performance was so upsetting for us all. That being said the truth is that the most part of EU fans has the same perception of other region's fans, and just like others we were afraid that FNC would have had a really difficult run in this tournament. It felt obviously great for us when FNC did beat TSM beacuse that was the proof that our scene is not as bad as we feared.

I think it would be hypocritical to expect caster from a certain region not to have a slight preference for their region's teams. Hell, you guys comment an entire LCS split with some teams, and come to know them so well. But it's important not to confuse that for something bigger(the bias circlejerk of those days). People are superficial when they are hyped and sometimes you guys just are so exposed that end up being the main victims in this process. But I think I can speak for the most part of EU fans when I say that you are a great caster overall, and that we all envy NA fans because they have a caster like you.
