Hospital called and didn't know they were leaving a voicemail while loudly joking about my medical history.

You gave us more about "SMI" than they did. They were just guessing about SMI, Serious Mental Illness an umbrella term. It's used in determining someone's level of disability based on mental health. My SMI status is:

  1. Ability to Engage in Substantial Gainful Activity: Does the applicant have a medically determinable physical or mental impairment [...] expected to last more than 60 months? >Yes.

Disabling Condition: Disorders are severe, chronic, potentially debilitating/disabling medical condition.

a) Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Amnesia.

b) Limitations on ADL's (Activities of Daily Living). None.

c) Residual Functionality: Difficulty with focus, attention, energy, motivation, that prohibits any consistent functionality at this moment.

d) Social Behavioral Limitations: Irritability triggered by environmental chaos, depression, severely impacts this patients social interactions.

So, at work, if there's bunch of drama, I'd up and quit. If you gave me something to do and not the the tools to do it, I'd quit. I'd feel like you were setting me up for failure and wonder why. Underpay me. I wouldn't fight for it, I'd quit. You obviously wanted me out for a reason. I'd start every job waiting to be fired. OR, I'd rebel by following the rules. To. A. T. Seriously. I'd Malicious Compliance the fuck out of them, driving them absolutely insane, and I'd savor every second of it.
