How am I supposed to forget about the guy who cheated and kicked me into the dirt when I cared about him so much?

Remember he kicked you out and cheated on you. Apparently he does not give two flying bees about you, so why would you care about him? It is not just a phase, he just proved you he is a trash and gave you a way out. Embrace your gift and go. Further, the better. He will maybe be someone elses problem, but, oh boy... That kind of guy usually ends up and die alone or find a girl who will "spay" him like a dog. I am not going to lie to you and say walking away won't hurt, but what will hurt even more is spending your whole life with egocentric person who has no respect towards you while you'd give everything to him. Please, don't try be martyr, he is not even worth it.
