I just don't understand the mental gymnastics you people do. Abuser-victim dynamic is secondary, it doesn't magically evolve into this overnight. First sign of disrespect, abuse, when left unchecked is how these relationships develop.

Respect for another human is the fundamental but not the only thing required to date, it's like saying you must have a pulse to date a woman, well, no shit sherlock. But along with a pulse, able bodied, socially well adjusted, physically appealing to her, compatible world views, chemistry and multitude of other factors need to align. BUT NO. It all boils down to just having respect for women.

Also, it's insulting to men who had difficulty in dating women, OP implicitly suggests that they don't respect women. What the fuck does she knows about these men? Case in point, me. The number 1 reason I haven't been able to date is because my life circumstances and career choices have been such that I simply didn't come across women in my life. There were zero women in my entire fucking building during college, workplace had one 45 yo fat woman who was shagging the boss anyway, then I started my own online business and worked from home, I don't drink hence don't go to bars or clubs. So I am not approaching literally any woman and "disrespecting" her, I haven't bothered them at all.
