How do you distinguish genuine love for someone from infatuation?

Infatuation is love technically speaking. Love has 3 stages: lust, attraction and attachment. First 2 stages are definitely infatuation as they are just hardcore excitement along with adrenaline, dopamine and serotonin taking full control over your thinking brain. Attachment stage is the one where you are kind past being completely mindfucked by them are dominantly running on oxytocin and vasopressin. So to say that infatuation and love are 2 different things is technically incorrect. They are the same, same process, just infatuation is the incomplete version of love.

Infatuation is technically failed love that didn't reach to its final destination. Your brain fucked up.
