How fucking good is it to live in New Zealand?

Read my comment. I said I have to look at history and how other countries are running. In Russia I would be beaten and nothing would happen because the majority hates homosexuals. In the middle East i would be killed. In 13 countries around the world I can be legally killed for being gay. There are places that would make it so unsafe to even be writing these comments. And to look at history, I could have been born a couple decades ago and how much worse I would have had it. That's how I look at it and then compare it today. Same with racism. maoris/asians/whoever are not being slaughtered in our streets. Our media is not openly talking about how disgusting these minorities are. You have to be realistic about things and how things where beforehand which is why when I read things like the gender wage gap or institutionalize racism I cant help but think we have it pretty good. I could be killed but instead the big problem we talk about is... marriage?

There's always progress to be made and we will never live in a utopian society. There are always bad eggs but the majorty are accepting people and everyday we only continue to move forward.

If you want to call New Zealand racist/homophobic then id say you're self absorbed and entitled and living comfortably in your bubble.
