I can see how it would look this way. His statement wasnt that if i questioned his appearance i didn't love him. I do it all the time. He said if i left him over his messy beard then it proves to him i didnt love him enough. Now i can see that this may have the effect of me staying and putting up with it just to prove that i do.

However, do i love him enough if i leave him over his beard he wont clean up? Does he have a point?

If someone left you over something like that would you think they loved you enough?

His point isnt incorrect, though it doesnt mean he should continue with it without consideration for me.

He said he came a long way and now gels his hair so i should let him be, and that when he gets the career he wants that requires him to lose the mess he will since that career will train him to filter through people's BS..
