How is Reddit so popular, yet everyone I ask either doesn't use it or has never even heard of it?

Because this is an awful website full of awful people which drives many many away

Plus the stupid wait 7 minutes before commenting again really destroys your desire to use the app

I even told one of my black friends to use reddit when i first got it and he deleted it in a day when he said he was reading r/worldnews and they were talking about him like he is some sort of parasite and he said it was sick how many upvotes it got

Basically what stops reddit from being bigger than facebook is the redditors themselves

As for them not knowing, alot of people dont know about most websites except stuff like snapchat instagram or youtube

Its not their fault its just that they never see it advertised
