If Kawhi ends up leaving the Raptors after this season, how will he be perceived in Toronto?

Not really. It was done multiple times as a way to 'discipline' Vince or prove a point or whatever. You don’t bench superstar player in the 4th quarter of a game that is still winnable. Vince is exactly the type of player who can go into the 4th with 5 points, catch fire and end the game with 20+ points and help lead a comeback. It was clear that the Raptors were done with Vince by this point.

Like I said before, Vince's minutes were the lowest of his career since his rookie season. Half of the 20 games he played that season for the Raptors he played less than 30 minutes. Sure, Vince didn’t play his best basketball but the Raptors were all but assuring as much. They lied to him behind the scenes and then benched him during close games. They weren’t exactly providing him with a situation he could thrive in. He still managed to hit a game winner during that stretch as well.
