If our universe is dangerous, why we are still alive?

The universe is so dangerous that we know it will wipe us out at some point. Forget asteroids, those are temporary set backs at most. Wait for the sun to expand and then explode blasting the earth with a furnace, possibly even consuming the earth itself. Or wait for large scale structures to break down as cosmic inflation shreds even atoms. This will all happen within less than the first 1% the lifetime of the universe.

It might seem somewhat scary in space but it’s really deep time that is inhospitable to life. The moment when life is possible anywhere in the universe is a blip of a few tens of billions, maybe hundreds of billions of years but the life of the universe is trillions to the power of trillions of years and for almost all of that time no life at all is possible.
