Let me start this reply with a bit of an attitude check here. I am certainly not "grandstanding" to glorify anything. Indeed, I feel very insecure about sharing some of the things I've been through and have tried to keep my thoughts informative and yet civil so as not to paint any particular people in a negative light.

I understand that, social workers get the shaft. They are treated like shit, get paid shit, and 9 times out of 10, end up working right next to someone who did exactly nothing but fail up into the same profession they're in. So I get your frustration with what facet of humanity that you are exposed to.

That being said, if you came here just to tell me that I'm done kind of moron for opening up the truth about the pain I've been through, well then I will take it and tell you to have a nice day.

However, if you are simply typing your hate speech out of some aggrivated and oppressed need to shit talk the people I know who are struggling with demons you can't even begin to imagine, well you can just fuck right off. You have no idea of what I've gone through for the people I've known and loved on the streets. I cannot begin to describe the shit I put myself through to relentlessly try to help those who had been through far worse than I could know. I don't know if you work on the streets or in an office, but if you've seen the real dirty shit, you know what I mean. I would have—and tried to— give my life for people that I've seen in pain. And despite the fact that I made it out and they didn't listen to me, almost any of them would back me up on that.

I would hope that, as a servant of the public, you would want to connect with that feeling again to give your life perhaps a little more satisfaction each day as these are choices you make for your life every day. I cannot tell you not to be rude to me, but don't you dare shit all over the people I haven't been able to help.
