About the diversity networks really care about that because they only care about ratings and Critics don't want to badly review a show with a diverse cast because then they will look like a bigot. A real world example of this is Captain Marvel it was just ok not terrible, not great, just ok. But reviewing it became a political statement if you reviewed it badly you would be labeled as a misogynist for not supporting a female super hero and if you actually liked it and your review reflected that then "yOu oNLy SuPpoRted iT beCAusE It'S AbOuT a woMAn." Now either one could be true of the reviewer but it compromises journalistic integrity if a critic cannot give a legitimate review of media because it becomes a political statement.
