Immortals vs SK at DreamHack ZOWIE Open Summer 2016 post match discussion

Overall, it was a very close game-though perhaps it shouldn't have been.

In terms of T side, immortals played their normal game where they at first play for picks, then group up and hit the site where they sense weakness as a pack very quickly. In this case they largely targeted B where Acilion held on his own-Acilion typically being one of the weaker players of SK.

SK held his own in my eyes and even when he lost the site he got at least 2 kills a lot of the time, though it must be said the young Dane made some odd mistakes such as buying an autosniper when the economy was far from strong. Friis was also good on A site on the CT side and while he didn't have to hit hard shots, this was because he put himself in good positions and seemed to know where the Immortals would be a lot of the time.

Hen1 was typically on the entry with the AWP and missed a lot of easy shots, then went on to hit some really hard shots as well-this is pretty typical of Hen1 really and has been his recent form in general-nevertheless while he struggled for entries Felps on the secondary role was very good and consistently refragged and then proceeded to take the site. The rest of the team was rather quiet, with showtime rarely picking up the awp as he did in the major qualifiers. SK played a passive setup to counter this on the CT side, however this just allowed Immortals to push further and after the first half Immortals came up ahead.

In the second half Immortals continued their general playstyle and played very aggressivley. SK also played their own game and played a quite passive default, which worked very well as Immortals often just pushed right into SK's crosshairs. The main weakness was actually Felps, despite hitting a lot of shots and being the best aimer on the server. This is because he, at ivy, pushed an awful lot and got killed every round. Eventually SK sent 2 or 3 players there every round and could always gain that area of the map.

Friis was again a highlight and peeked very well with the awp on T side, and again he didn't put himself into positions where he had to hit hard shots, he just outplayed Immortals to use the general term.
