My point is that presidents of both US and Brazil decide to go the route of protecting economy and not taking any action to stop the virus at the cost of economy where india did that so comparing India's number's with brazil's number is not right. India's gdp dropped 23% where Brazil's gdp dropped less than 10% and same for US. (Not able to find exact number for Brazil but all the estimates are below 10)

I remember reading that in Brazil gangs imposed lockdown to protect people because president wasn't doing anything. The point I am trying to make is that based on all that I have read and see till now India's number should not be compared with a country that had a completely different priority. I don't matter if I agree with priority or not but priority or atleast actions were not the same.
