If it’s easy to see things as racist and non racist then of course your simplified worldview will give u limited understanding. Sweden is a relatively low populated country (~10 million). The percentage of white swedes (at least one native ethnic swede) accounting for total population went from 94% to 74% in just 3 decades. Most foreign population were not integrated well, and allowed to fester as insular communities with no aim of assimilation, spurred on by the generous welfare state. The government didn’t address the native swedes concerns and pushback at all, until recently, so now they know their voices matter to a certain extent, the illusion of progression slips.
