IUD side effects? (NSFW)

I feel very privilged that the sex education in my country is actually decent, and that gynos are great in talking about side-effects of bc (yes, our health insurance is pricy, but I definitely prefer being able to see a gyno than a gp...especially when I read up on the horror stories in countries like the US or UK).

So, I’m wondering if other other XX chromosome people who have utilized hormonal IUDs have struggled with dryness and discomfort during intercourse.

I've had some issues with dryness, but I never really felt a discomfort. When I had to get off the pill though, I also had sometimes issues getting wet, so in my case, it's not necessarily a side-effect of my IUD.

(and now have read a bunch saying not to get IUDs before having kids.. so.. wish that had been covered)

This information is outdated. IUDs can be used by women no matter if they have given birth or not.
