Does anyone else feel like they're riding a bicycle built for two (or three) by themselves lately?

You know, the moment where I lost my mind at work was when my favorite, not my most productive, employee told me he wanted to take a leave of absence. And then he told me"well it's okay, you're hiring a new person so I can give them all my work" that I just broke down and started crying. I'm hiring a new person to do the other 5 hours of work that I'm doing after the 8 hours that have already worked, work that I can't give this guy to do, because he's not qualified. His work doesn't even align with the work of the employee that I'm hiring. However from a timing perspective, him leaving works out really well because I have to do an administrative HR process for another employee and I can piggyback his departure on that HR administrative process. Basically recruiting two positions at the same time as one. Anyway that's the end of my vent.
